Role Overview
As a Junior HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing all admin HR-related topics within Italy. Your role will include overseeing company travel, presence administration, employee documents filing, mandatory medical checks and compliance for H&S training as well as financed training coordination. Over time, you will be given the possibility to be trained and developed to transition into a Junior HR Business Partner role, providing HR coordination on performance management and other human capital related topics.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Administration: Manage day-to-day HR operations, including managing the employee presence tracking and leave management system. Provide information with cooperation of the external consultant on payroll related employee inquiries.
- Company Travel Coordination: Proactive in handling travel arrangements and expense management for employees.
- Training, Care & Development: Support the organization of local and company team building events, oversee employee training programs to support career growth and competency building.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries and ensure a positive employee experience.
- HR Policies & Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
- Project Management: Manage activities through the company PM tool with accurate activity tracking.JD
- HR Business Partner Training: Learn and develop the skills necessary to support line managers in this capacity by the second half of the year.
- Recruitment Support: Assist in the screening and selection process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of HR experience, preferably in a mid-sized company with international exposure, with hands-on HR responsibilities including administration, and general HR services. Some experience in performance management cycles management support will be a plus.
- Understanding of the role of Human Capital team in the company with the business acumen and leveraging the needs of all stakeholders (leadership team, middle managers and employees).
- Min. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Sociology or similar University Degrees.
- Understanding of the labor law and basic knowledge of contract preparation and payroll.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with line managers and employees effectively.
- Strong ownership and responsibility.
- Understanding of the confidentiality requirements for the role and balanced approach.
- Language: Fluent in English and Italian (both written and spoken).
- Curiosity to navigate and leverage technology to enhance HR processes.
- A customer-centric mindset to ensure a great experience both for employees and company managers.
- A passion for building competencies and contributing to workforce development. You probably have a master in HT Management or HR business partner and have joined a couple of webinars on all things HR in the last months.
- An outcome-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
